Cobalt drill bits can drill at much higher temperatures while maintaining sharpness. It can therefore be used to drill stainless steel and other hard materials. The 135° angle of the cutting point is ideal for drilling steel and other tougher materials. The split point prevents the drill from wandering or running off the starting point.
